What's not to love about "Kits"! It's close enough to downtown but without being too touristy. Home to a variety of building styles from condos to duplexes, to eclectic converted heritage homes, to stately houses by the seaside.

Living in 'Kits' makes you feel like you're on a permanent vacation in your own backyard. The area boasts a fantastic view of the mountains and city scape and promises not to disappoint with one of the best beaches in Vancouver. Go in-land a few blocks and you will no doubt feel like you are not even in a major metropolitan city with larger single family homes surrounded by tree lined streets that form graceful canopies above you.

Ditch the car and take a walk or take your bike to work on the Seaside Greenway and York Bikeway which provides pedestrians and cyclists of all ages and abilities with a safe, convenient, and comfortable connection between Burrard Bridge and the Downtown core and Jericho Beach. You won't want to cruise too quickly past some of Kit's trendy café's and eateries without stopping to sample the fare. A little taste of Greece is in the air with several Greek restaurants you can take in or order out. Then there's the Hellenic Cultural Festival which takes place every June, homage to an area in Kitsilano that was once known as Greek town. Kits is also home to Vancouver's oldest natural foods restaurant 'the Naam' and there's one of my favorites, the Aphrodite organic café and pie shop.
